Annoying and useless

What the fuck is wrong with the idiot announcers on the tube?

Today, the idiot platform announcer monkey kept shouting (his mouth so close to the mic that you can only understand every fourth word), without as much as a pause, for at least 6 minutes.

This might not be so annoying and useless, but the platform already has a message board telling me when the next train is due.

Fucking useless.

This is in addition to the 3rd (or 4th) most annoying reminder in the world, “always touch in and touch out blah blah blah”. This is particularly frustrating and offensive at Oval tube station, where, I swear to you, this annoying message loops for hours at a time.

Fucking annoying.

This is a serious problem, and I’m sick to fuck of it. Annoucements are only of value if people listen to them, if your important announcement becomes background white noise, then we all tune off, and no one actually listens when an important announcement is being made. London Underground really need to sort this out.
